Why we need you

We need you to ensure our IT systems are secure and running optimally. Your role is to safeguard our information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems. This is a hands-on role. You troubleshoot, respond to inquiries and find solutions to technical challenges. Beyond the day-to-day, you contribute to the definition and implementation of security policies, including longer-term projects and documentation efforts, protecting our privacy and ensuring our security.

What you will be doing

  • Manage and execute the daily operation and implementation of the IT security strategy for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information
  • Lead the management, creation, and updates of various Security Policies as needed to stay within compliance with various jurisdictions. This includes continued monitoring of company IT policies as well as initiating company IT drills and preparation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to evaluate technical data, create recommendations, obtain consensus, plan and execute service upgrades and changes
  • Automate and/or execute IT infrastructure-related projects such as platform migrations and information security policy updates.
  • Assist in technical and security audits that will occur from time to time for compliance reasons
  • Establish a strong culture of operational information security for OmiseGO & GO.Exchange.

You

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT
  • Have led a team in the creation of an Information Security and Information Technology team and set of Information Security and Information Technology policies
  • Have knowledge of common information security management frameworks
  • Have a proven record of execution in a rapidly changing environment
  • Are a believer in the potential of the blockchain to revolutionize the lives of people who do and don’t have access to financial services
  • Are an exceptional communicator with great people skills
  • Are fluent in both written and spoken forms of English
  • Start-up and entrepreneurship mindset

Advantageous to have experience and knowledge of:

  • Working at a company that has applied for, received, and maintained a license under a regulatory authority
