Business Development Executive - Tokyo, Japan

Why we need you
Omise is hiring a highly motivated Sales to build strategic relationships and manage new/existing merchants. This role is based in Tokyo and is open to Japanese nationals with background in payment, B to B products, and/or eCommerce industry. At Omise, hiring people is a process we do with care.   • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a sales representative or sales executive within IT company
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a sales representative within Payment service provider or acquirer
  • Thorough understanding of the payment industry and competing vendors
  • Knowledgeable about backend operations of software and hardware
  • Active listening skills and ability to effectively communicate solutions that meet customer needs
  • Communication/presentation/negotiation skills
  • Advanced MS office/ Apple suites skills
  • Fluency in Japanese, and Business-level English required


  • Build strategic relationships with the merchants and partners, ensuring long-term business opportunities for Omise
  • Manage existing merchants, transform potential leads into opportunities.
  • Collaborate with acquirers to achieve our goal
  • Review, research, and adjust sales pitch presentations (keynote/powerpoint) to each merchant
  • Drive and push for customer service excellence
  • Feedback customer’s voice to development team to improvement products

  • B to B業界で営業リーダー、もしくはセールスとして5年以上働いた経験
  • 決済代行会社、カード会社で3年以上の勤務経験
  • 決済業界と競合に関しての理解、知識 
  • ソフトウェアとハードウェアのバックエンドオペレーションに関しての知識 
  • 顧客企業のニーズに合う解決策について効果的に会話を進める能力  
  • コミュニケーション、プレゼンテーション能力、交渉力
  • Microsoft Officeスキル
  • ネイティブレベルの日本語、ビジネスレベルの英語


  • 顧客企業と戦略的関係を構築しOmiseの長期的ビジネス機会を確立すること
