Omise’s mission is to make payment available for everyone. We help small startups and the world’s biggest companies build products, create new business models, and scale their efforts efficiently. The Partnerships team is responsible for developing, executing and managing partnerships that enable Omise’s product and payments ecosystem. Today, Omise is live in 5 markets and the Partnerships team is situated in Thailand supporting Omise’s growth in APAC.

The Business Development Manager in the Business Expansion & Partnerships team is an integral part of the business strategy which focuses on bank partners and channel partners. The successful candidate is ideally familiar with payments business, merchant acquiring, credit card acquiring, e-wallet payment process, other payment solutions, credit card products, or bank product and merchant sales.

This person will execute annual goals and have a clear multi-year plan that aligns with Omise’s overall strategy across the company, by market, and/or by product. As part of these efforts, this person will gather feedback and work closely with multiple internal cross functional stakeholders on the creation and execution of partnerships.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the development of partnership strategies to align with product and business goals
  • Identify and effectively analyze new opportunities for Omise, ultimately making recommendations to relevant decision makers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Understand our partners’ strategic priorities, challenges, and internal roadmaps; regularly communicate insights and strategic recommendations to Omise product stakeholders
  • Design and execute strategies and processes that will enable us to scale our consumer payments partnerships to increase our velocity as a team
  • Create strong relationships that contribute to success of the team and overall of the company


  • At least 5 years of total work experience and minimum 3+ years of partnerships experience working at/or/with the following criteria;
    • Bank partners
    • Global card networks
    • Payment solutions
    • Bank products and merchant sales
    • E-wallet
    • Credit card products
    • Experience developing partnership strategy and identify, source, and analyze new partnership opportunities
    • Experience in payment and acquiring partnership (Visa, Mastercard, Payment Gateways, etc is preferred)
    • Track record of success working effectively and independently across functions to deliver against deadlines
    • Strong and independent negotiation skills and experience
    • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills that result in practical and effective solutions, scale mindset (setting short to medium-term direction) and focus on impact
    • Sense of urgency to deliver impact for users or customers at scale, and ability to transition between work streams based on given priorities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both Thai and English
